The Dortmunder Mitternachtsmission is an organisation which counsels and provides aide to prostitutes, children in prostitution and victims of human trafficking.

We assist this charity by collecting Children/ Baby Items and Food Items at member events.

Knackpunkt is a shelter in the center of Düsseldorf, which is open every night and morning to teenaged girls and women. At this location, women can have their basic needs met, such as eating, resting and taking showers. The Knack Punkt team is also present to listen to the women, give them advice, provide the women with basic medical treatment and other services.

In the month of November we conduct a collection of much needed items and donate a Thanksgiving Dinner to help support this shelter in the center of Düsseldorf. The AWCD has been providing the Thanksgiving dinner since 1999.

Frauenberatungsstelle Neuss - Frauen helfen Frauen e.V.

Since 1982, the Frauenberatungstelle has offered advice and counseling to women, regardless  of religion or race, who may be experiencing conflict in the home, or workplace, or problems with family or social connections.

We conduct a clothing drive for the Women’s Counseling Center in Neuss in the spring.

KinderschutzAmbulanz at the Protestant Hospital in Düsseldorf is a treatment and counseling center for physically, psychologically and sexually abused children, neglected children and for children that have witnessed violence within their families.

We collect new gift bagged toys during the Holiday season for these abused children.

International Library

The International Library, a volunteer non-profit organization, is Germany's only public English-language library. In addition to providing English books, videos/DVDs, magazines and newspapers, the library also started a series of special presentations on "Communicating Across Cultures".

We donate books for their annual book sale.

Each year the German-American Friends of the Niederrhein and the AWCD celebrate German-American Day in October with a cultural program followed by a buffet.

This event is a fundraiser for the German-American Friends of the Niederrhein in support of their student exchange program, which enables German and American students to study abroad in the U.S. and Germany, respectively.

SOS Kinderdorf

The SOS-Kinderdorf Düsseldorf began its work in 2019 in Düsseldorf-Garath. The charity began with various offerings around helping children and teens. In 2014 the first "Kinderdorffamilie" was formed. The family is a group of children from dangerous homes who start a new life with designated carers.

Since its formation, the Kinderdorf has been growing, offering more options to those who need it.

Currently the Kinderdorf is run by 140 employees, 40 volunteers and 16 different educational and psychological areas.

The SOS-Kinderdorf is one of currently 39 of similar facilities in Germany.
