-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Paushali Lass, series of AIWCD City talks, City walks, and City Eats.

There will be 6 parts to this series - cultural exploration and lectures. From Sept 2023 until June 2024 - once a month. Not during December.

A. City Talks: launches with a New Member & Member coffee morning. The topic will be “how to fit in” for new and current members.  If you are new to Düsseldorf/Germany or even if you have been here for 15 years (for many years) this will be interesting for all.  Paushali will share different ways to connect to others as well as other practical ideas to make us all feel more at home in our guest country.

B. City eats - once a month, there will be a restaurant selected. A limited number of members will have an opportunity to sample their menu as well as meet the owner for a set price. This series will offer members insight into the different cultural and sustainable restaurants in Düsseldorf. 10 guests.

C. City walks, short tour - with the cultural lecture.

One focus is discovering Düsseldorf as well as addressing what it is like to be a foreigner and get to know the rich history of the city. And how through history this city has always had many different cultures coming together. One example, there is a street in Altstadt with a very interesting museum that showcases what life was like in Düsseldorf under the Nazi regime, as well as the persecution of Jews leading to the Holocaust. Learning about the past and how the city has coped with the changes will be enlightening and interesting.

Payment:  To register for one of the walks or dinners, members will be required to make a payment to reserve their place.
